The Australian Terrier is a lively, friendly little dog (in size) but has the courage that far belies that size. The "Aussie" is equally at home indoors or out, is very family oriented and makes a good guard dog without being vicious. Grooming is minimal, regular bathing and combing and a little trimming occasionally is all that is required.The "Aussie" comes in two colours; Blue & Tan, or Red/Sandy.
The "Aussie" has a longevity of 12-15 years average, some having been known to live much longer. They are a head strong little dog that requires secure fencing and good clean waterproof living conditions. A good healthy diet and access to fresh clean water at all times is a must.
